The aim of Opera Glass is present opera in a clear and accessible
way. We usually sing in English, to aid
understanding, otherwise how can you fully
appreciate opera's unique capacity to touch your
emotions?
We try to keep the staging simple in order to
focus on the performers, and prefer to mount
productions on an intimate basis, including Opera
in the round.
We want to share our joy for the music with as
many people as possible. We would like you to feel
as we do about opera: that it can be fun, it can be
passionate, it can be ridiculous, but it must
always be understandable and entertaining.
Opera Glass is always keen to hear new singers.
